Tina McCarthy (based in Melbourne, Australia) has been to Japan many times on cycle trips to the Shimanami with her WheelWoman company organized cycle groups, Paul Walsh (based in Hiroshima) is founder of JizoHat KK and co-founder of GetHiroshima.com + does many travel and tourism projects in the Shimanami area.
