Author, volunteer, coach, world traveler and expert house and petsitter Kelly Hayes-Raitt joins the Seek Sustainable Japan talkshow-podcast this month to share some of her book tips for housesitting as well as insights from the amazing research, volunteering projects, and journalistic writing she does while she is housesitting around the world for publications in the USA.
I had the chance to meet Kelly when she came to Hiroshima for the 70th anniversary of the A-bomb attack commemorations. Kelly has traveled through many parts of Japan and she has so many great insights from her world travels including doing volunteering while she travels. As a politician in the early part of her career, Kelly talks about how she is drawn to interviews and stories of refugees from conflict and climate and we talk about some of those stories from Iraq, central America, Japan, Korea, Israel and Palestine, and Syria.
