How Easy is it to Drive Electric in Japan in 2022? 3 EV Owners Talk Models, Pricing, Range and Infrastructure

How easy is it to drive an electric car (EV) in Japan? Our 3 way discussion might give you some good insights if you are considering the change from a gas car to an all-electric model car in Japan. We discuss some of the EVs that are now on the market in Japan and give insights into the electric cars we chose and how we enjoy driving them, we also tackle common EV questions such as charging and pricing.

About the Guests:

Kevin Meyerson is an EV enthusiast who chose the Jaguar IPace SUV type to suit his passion for snowsports and lifestyle. Kevin lives in a PassivHaus and has a home charger as well as knowledge of the public EV charging system in the Karuizawa area and beyond.

Scott of TeslaQuest Japan is Osaka based and only uses public chargers for his Tesla Model3. Scott knows a lot about the EV charging network and Tesla supercharger network around Japan.

Like Scott, JJWalsh also owns a Model3 but charges at home from my home charger making use of my rooftop Solar PV energy as much as I can as well as at Tesla Superchargers for trips.
