It is clear that there is a lot of potential for rural development and rural entrepreneurship, but change is slow and planning to spend the time and effort working with a local community to effect change is a key point of the talk. 2021 will be an interesting year as we see a push by the government to give subsidies and incentives to individuals and businesses that are willing to relocate outside of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama.
