Mother-Daughter Design Bridges Japan + UK | Yukari + Kimika Sweeney | YSDLONDON

Yukari Sweeney grew up in Japan but trained as a designer in London at Eley Kishimoto + Paul Smith in 2008. Yukari still worked in Japan, so she raised her daughter in both Japan and the UK.

Now Yukari and Kimika work side-by-side in their own shop YSD in Greenwich. Today we will talk about Yukari's background as well as her designs and collaborations, upcycling, charity projects and how to build a strong brand in Japan and abroad.
