"Cute-Wash" of Poison-Gas Island Okunoshima | Fritz Schumann

Fritz Schumann is a visual journalist and digital storyteller who has been taking photos, writing content, and making documentary films in Japan for ten years.

His documentary about Okunoshima was shown at the Hiroshima film festival in November 2019. In this talk, Fritz describes the making of some of his documentary films which have focused on Japanese history, culture, and heritage- we focus on his film OKUNOSHIMA about the wartime history of making poison-gas on this island in Hiroshima prefecture.
