Rural Revival on Small Islands in the Shikoku-Chugoku (Seto-Inland Sea) area of Japan | Dr. Meng Qu (Mo)

Dr.Meng Qu (Mo) is originally from Shanghai, China where he worked with universities on digital design projects. Since coming to Japan, Mo has doing interesting research on small island communities in the Seto Inland Sea areas of Hiroshima, Okayama and Kagawa prefectures through his studies and research at Hiroshima University.

In this talk, Mo-san shares insights from his research and positive examples of success for this widespread problems of declining and aging populations in island communities in the Chugoku-Shikoku region of Japan. He has done interesting interviews compiled into documentary films about the people in the island communities he researches.
