Writer Speaking Truth to Japan's Media about Racism | Baye McNeil

Baye McNeil is an author, columnist, teacher, and activist living in Tokyo, Japan. He has had a great influence on the media perception and labels used of international residents. Here we talk about some of Baye's articles and projects since our last talk in 2020. One of the articles on Toyokeizai was about changing labels from the color of a person's skin to the person's occupation or name is the best step forward, seeing and interacting with all individuals as people. We also talk about the translation of his book into Japanese and doing his audio book for "Hi My Name is Loco and I'm a Racist"
