Ups & Downs of Finding & Buying an Old AKIYA House in Japan as a Holiday Home | Tina McCarthy

If you are willing to put up the money, even an international visitor can buy a home in Japan. Tina McCarthy is the founder of WheelWomen Australia, an avid cyclist, designer and self-described Japanophile who bought a beautiful old house in Onomichi, Hiroshima. As long as they are allowed to come back to Japan for long vacations a few times a year it is still more cost efficient and of higher value to her than buying a holiday home in Australia.
